We’re not gonna lie, we were getting’ kinda weary in the run up to the All-Star break, the sheer volume of NBA games is a relentless slog during the winter months when sleep and hibernation are much cherished. Whether you sloped off to the Caribbean or Cleethorpes during the week off, we trust you are suitably recharged for the business end of the season. Now that DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber & their mates have gone back to whatever it is they do besides making ears bleed, getting free clobber and not caring about Basketball again, we can re-focus on the proper stuff like getting into the play offs and tanking for a high draft pick. With 10 teams still in with a shout out West every game counts from here on in for teams such as Utah, New Orleans & the Clippers, whilst in the East everybody outside Detroit looks set for a race to the bottom. If ever there was an argument for a 16 team play in tournament for the final seeds in each conference, this year would make a great test case. At least 10 teams have absolutely no shot of making the post season meaning a lot of pointless game between now and mid April. Thankfully the newly restocked Cavs & two tightly packed conferences make for an interesting run in as teams jockey for seedings and home court advantage. Buckle up folks, Basketball is about to get interesting. Once again we aim to be your weekly guide to watching the NBA in the UK.
