As the season rumbles into November, pre season narratives, predictions and early trends are being confirmed and debunked in equal measure. In the East the Celtics were being written off after two games by some hysterical over reactors and have now won nine straight playing some beautiful offensive basketball. Sixers & Knicks fans are getting giddy about what the future may hold for Ben Simmons & a Melo free Kristaps Porzingis, whilst Cavs diehards must be wishing some of their ageing slow footed veterans could hop in a time machine to find the fountain of youth.
Out West the Warriors have returned from the beach to start putting their foot on peoples throats, Thibs has Teague & the Timberwolves looking tremendous & Dame is ramping up his clutchometer in Portland. Dallas’ demise is worst than anyone predicted and the new arena smell in Sacramento is being overpowered by the stink of their team. We’ve had our first big trade, coaches and players are getting ejected left and right and we haven’t even see Kawhi Leonard yet.
